Hello I have a 54 punto and iv got a problem, hot or cold whenever I turn anything electrical on in the car my car starts hunting ? Now it starts fine, batteries charged so I'm confussed. For example I'm driving along fine pull up to the traffic lights and it's fine, however if I do exactly the same but with the blower on or heated back window on it starts to rev from 1000 to 500 ? Can anyone help please (y)

Iv done abit of research and I think it's a battery problem, because the lights dim and the heater goes on and off. New battery maybe ?

Hunting is usually an air leak on the inlet side, an overtight throttle cable, the horrible rubber nipple on the end of the throttle cable coming off (cut it loose -- it does nowt useful) or a clogged up throttle body -- take it off and give it a good clean with poundshop carb cleaner. In rarer cases it can mean a blown head gasket -- comression test will reveal all.

Can't see it being the battery, might be an alternator issue. Have them tested.
