Hi everyone,not been here for a while mainly cos car has been trouble free, however can anyone give any suggestions to a problem on my daughters car?
52 REG PUNTO ACTIVE 8V. When she starts it up all seems fine, but if she presses the BRAKE pedal, the airbag light flashes, and if she presses the brake a second time the car will cut-out and all the dashboard lights come on but the car will still start up and run fine. This is however RANDOM, and does'nt occur every time, but is getting more frequent..
I asked a local garage, and it is something new to them and offered to have a look, but don't want to pay them a fortune to be no better off.:bang:
Has ANYONE had a similar problem, or got suggestions as to what it could be? CHEERS, JOHN.

My guess -- nowt more -- is a dodgy earth. Clean up and vaseline all the earth connections under the bonnet (it's essential you physically undo them). There's at least one earth in the cockpit, too.

An alternative is a wiring fault, but that could take you a good while to track down.
