Hello,

the engine starts and ticks over OK, but when the acellerator is pressed engine runs roughly and very little increase in revs, with lots of smoke, also there is no power in it at all, cant set off.

Are there any members local to Accrington? If possible I would like to borrow a maf from a 1.9 jtd to test my car before I buy a replacement part

Just undo the plug and give it a run out and if it runs any better the chances are it is the MAF.
