ive heard CIS is good for modded cars

they are but you dont declare them as they return it to standard

anal intrusion are a few words that spring to mind when declaring mods on insurance when you 19

ha ha sounds like errrm fun

yeah i have tried a few places but they r pretty steep so im gunna try some more! the specialist modified insurance companies r more expensive than the standard i have foudn which isnt good!

Yea i found that with specialist young drivers insurance. 2k+ for a 999cc uno, your havin a larf!!! 1300 was the cheapest

yeah from redince i got quoted 2100 n from adrian flux who r suppose to b the best around 3150 errm yeah nearly as much as my car!!!!
so ill just phone the standard ones see wat they come up with hope it aint a stupid price! i hate insurance companys they have no idea about the real world!!!!

i'm with cis - not the cheapest by a long shot (£400 or so more expensive than norwich union) but once mods declared (before 1242 this was) nu wanted £1700 out of me, cis £1300 all mods declared and no extra unless; change engine size (punto engine added 400-500 extra on my policy) or "make the car something its not"

oh and just to add; i would never EVER go back to norwich union after the amount of grief they caused me, they were telling me an accident which a third party had accept liability for was my fault and that i had paid the excess on my claim so it had all gone through, so no no claims, at which point i was a bit miffed as only phoned to tell them car was involved in accident tp taken liability and new car reg is... and somehow they thought i'd made pmt of excess and accepted responsibility therefore lost no claims, and the woman i was speaking to hardly spoke english so had fun sorting that out... in short; i wouldnt recommend going to norwich union :p

Im insured with quinn direct here in N.I, they allow me to modify anything i want without notification except engine or suspension mods and if i do what to modify them they just need it approved or checked, and if car is damaged they only replace standard part, but noone plans to destroy there hard worked for, bought modded parts. i think they insure drivers from england etc aswell, not sure, look them up, maybe worth a try.

same with CIS with the if i make a claim i get standard car back, but mines at the point now where if its nicked wherever it goes its not gonna get far without attracting attention - also immobiliser stops that  so chances of that not too high, and chances of it being blown up quite low due to normally when they blown up its after being nicked, and insurance only tpft so i wont be claiming off it unless i (touch wood i wont) have a crash which is my fault, in which case i wont be claiming for my cinq anyway, and if someone crashes into me that does cover my modifications :p sorry bit confusing but i think i got the jist of my theory over :p

I am with Churchill who are equally as ****e as the rest, £1500 with pass plus on a 1.1, suppose thats average but its still high....

Best I have heard is Adrian Flux, or Endsleigh, they give you a price and if it doesn't improve power it doesnt ass on your insurance, and from a mate he said they put it up by £5 a year for his straight thro de cat exhuasts and K&N, sweet!

Im with Graham Sykes, and Im being butt-raped.
My costs are silly. I declared the list below on a policy for that car, garaged with me being 19 with 2yrs NCD..

£1600 Fully Comp. Its a joke... Hence when the renewal comes up in August, its being garaged till November (when im 21- as it'll be loads cheaper) (The car as standard costs £450 for me do insure it with 3yrs NCD @ 21, and £780 with 2yrs NCD @ 20.)
