Hello everyone ,
Ok so ive got a 1998 Fiat Punto 85sx, a few months ago i fitted a cat-back peco system, 4" pipe.
Completely standard engine other than an Apiro cold air induction kit. It sounded sweet and between 3 and 4k revs had a lovely deep tone (quite loud). Me being me that wasnt enough and yesterday i fitted a de-cat pipe, expecting it to be alot lot louder! But it isnt. At all.
If anything its quieter everywhere except 2/3k revs where it pops and splutters but its half the sound anywhere above 3k.
And seems to have made my throttle response worse, i was told it would make it better?
Dont get me wrong im not some chav who wants my 1.2 to sound like a ford v8 but i dont know if the sound is worth the petrol smell. (And obviously the run ins with the law).
Anyone know how i can improve the sound, should i put the cat back on? what do you guys think?
Cheers
