I need a new petrol tank for my cinq, but as Fiat are claiming mine wasn't one that was recalled, they won't help at, and have said i will have to buy one (even though it was recalled and they tried to charge me ??) so i never got it fixed and now it won't pass an MOT without one. Fiat have quoted £100, and then i'd have to fit it myself, but wondered if anyone knows of how to get a tank cheaper ?

Any help would be greatfully appreciated, as Fiat customer services were not at all helpful !!!!!!!!

Try phoning another Fiat dealership asking what actual models were recalled, they may need your VIN number.
As for a cheaper tank, try a scrapyard near you or a motor spares, but make sure its free of rust.

Or phone up Fiat customer services again and speak to someone else, explain the situation and mention that your solicior thinks you have good grounds to take this up in court, due to their negligance in the matter, that'll make em think twice
