Fiat's are SLOW

Fiat's are SLOW

Fiats are as fast as required imo, they have enough juice to take on most of the general public.

It's always nice to have a Focus ST for example, but as said earlier when buying my car i looked at tax / insurance / fuel costs and you save a fortune with a fiat.

Besides, if I wanted to go quickly id buy a motorbike... would smoke any of the above with ease for half the price & half the costs, yeah maybe a little closer to death but if your after some fun why go half way... and the only person you'll be killing is yourself. (well, in most cases.)

That's the way i see it, id love a motorbike though... hmm, maybe. (y)

^ that is all

Maybe my Bravo isnt very fast 0-60 (approx 10 seconds) but it can take corners like on rails. An idiot in a golf tdi made the mistake of trying to keep up with me on a twisty local road after i passed them on a straight. It was the 130hp model according to the badges. It looked to be flopping in the corners in the rear view mirror as the gap increased. How small would you feel saying you couldnt keep up with a van through the corners :ROFLMAO:

'Fiats are slow'

Doubt it.

Stick pretty much any 16v Fiat engine in an old tin can Fiat shell i.e Cinq, Panda, 126.

Then laugh at how you will dominate 25K cars.

I'm not saying thats specific to Fiat though. You can do it to tons of makes/models.

Good job trolling on a forum though, nobody's ever done that before!

Ive not driven a golf but my Next door neighbour is very impressed with the handling of their folks Blue Motion. Thats after owning a VXR Corsa.
My Stilo puts the power down much better from a slow roll start than the Corsa but soon sees the chav wagons rear end as it passes me.
Twist stuff though. When it comes to comfort and stability the GP Schumacher Stilo is extremely hard for any car to beat.

I hate the whole 0-60 obsession, do people really stop and go straight to 60 using every bit of power available, stop, then do it again.

Thought not.

Watching a lot of drivers round here, i would have to say that a lot of people are that anal. Had an incident today through town, there's 11 stop/starts in a 3km stretch of road (lights & roundabouts), dozy mare in a new-ish range rover bust a gut to zoom past me despite the lights ahead being at red then chucked out the anchors to stop on the rad tarmac (the cycle safety zone!). Me, I simply lifted my right foot & changed down at the appropriate speed - no brakes involved. As I approached her offside the lights changed & I was moving fast enough in the correct gear to cruise on by - until she roared past me to the next obstacle...

BTW, if you want speed, sign up to NASA or to be an air force pilot.

"Fiat's are SLOW"

There was a post a few days ago about a fiat being fined for going near the speed of sound on a public road. I'd call that pretty quick:p
(even if it was a fault with the police radar:cool:)

My stats: Abarth 500, 1.4 T-jet engine, 160 to 170 BHP, 0-60 in 6.5 to 7.5 (depending on a number of things!) Top speed 130 + MPH

I wouldn't call that slow, especially for a 1.4! Having her on a rolling road this Saturday so will hopefully have some more info!

anycar can be fast , if your in a race its not about the beamer that flys off from you, its about 30 secs later when he stays on 80 and ur willing to go up to 120, i cant talk much myself about raceing been stupid tho because iv been known to have a street race or 2 , but the concept is stupid, when some 30 year old women in her kid carrying wagon can pull out on u doing 90 down a 60 and u kill her and her kids it ant about how fast u can go its not even about how long ur going to be in prison its about been able to sleep at night, keep the speed to race tracks or cut off streets from the public where its just you and another nob head raceing for 200 quid ;p
