Hi there, I wonder if anyone can help or advise please - just had lots of work done on my fiat Brava 1.2 80 sx 16v (head gasket, radiator, timing belt etc) and now I have a swishing water sound on drivers side as soon as i start the car up, its really lou d and quite bad and continues when driving. I took it back to the garage and he said the radiator needs bleeding so bled it for me - but it done nothing. Shortly before I was also told i needed a new heating matrix but decided to opt for the cheaper 'K-Option to block up leaks seems to have worked not sure if that has anything to do with it?
What I want to know is if this is dangerous driving aorund with this or is it making the problem worse? i'm due to have a baby any day now and dont fancy breaking down or blowing the engine up when i'm out and about!! Also if anyone thinks its does need bleeding to rectify could you give me a rough idea of a cost i can expect!
I'd be so greatfull for any advise please!
Thanks for reading!

It needs bleeding properly

If the brava/o is like the punto - there is a 2nd bleeder screw on the heater matrix feed pipe from the engine

Sometimes you need the nose up on the cars to help encourage the air to get out

If there air is cleared but then magically returned, means there is a leak
Water comes out - air goes in

make sure you carry anti-freeze mix on you and check the coolant level

But i'd advise you try bleeding it youself

I don't know how much is relevant to the Brava, but this Punto guide helped me a great deal when trying to clear the airlock out of mine... :)

Just a quick question: how's your temperature gauge? If it's jumping about all over the place, then an airlock is very likely... ;)
