hi all please help.

i got up this morning to a flat battery! when i put my starter onto the battery the fan started and would not stop! any ideas why this is happening???

Chances are it's a wiring fault. The fan is running continuously, flattening the battery -- possibly even when the engine is switched off. (Check for this when you get the car started.)

On the Stilo I think the fan is controlled via the ECU and a relay -- likely to be switched on the -ive (earth) side.

Your best bet may be a mobile auto electrician if you don't have the manual.

either a problem with the fans wiring or then engine temp needle may be faulty or is shorting?

a friend had this problem on his punto the fan would stay on constantly when the ignition was on but once the car reached a certain heat the fan would stop.. the engine temp needle was replaced and its been ok ever since
