Fiat TV Commercials

Well, I was browsing the internet - Youtube, in fact, this evening for some Fiat commercials. Some of the older ones are particularly interesting, as I don't really remember them, but anyway, I thought I'd share what I found!

I didn't go out looking for all of these, some were just in the "Featured" videos and others were in the scrolling ones that you may like when you've finished watching another.

I know there's a lot, but should keep you entertained whilst you're at work or something, hehe!

If you'd like to add any, please do.

Re: Fiat TV Commercials

I remember the one for the Ritmo (Strada), it was the first ever commercial to take the whole 2 minute slot in the middle of News at Ten, the most expensive TV advertising slot at the time.

I think there was a spoof of it too. Something like.... Built by Robots, Driven by Morons.

Dave.

Re: Fiat TV Commercials

Then, there's always the Fiat Scrappage Scheme ones - the very first of which being the Panda Eco.

I must admit the newer adverts with Edith Bowman doing the voiceovers are starting to get on my nerves, a bit.

Re: Fiat TV Commercials

Fiat have done some good ads in their time, but some of the more recent ones really get on my tits. That bouncing on the trampoline type one - I absolutley hate it. It says nothing of the car or what it can do.
I do get it - it's attempting to say "look everybody, this car is great fun!"
But it leaves me thinking "Which bell end came up with that irritating crap?"

These days Fiat make really stylish cars with a good amount of flair and it just annoys me that they don't make more of that in the ads.

I remember them. And they were ok - in the 80's.

I just like car ads that show the car's style with clever photography. The kind of thing you get on every single Top Gear program

Not a FIAT advert, but I like this re-make of the Stilo advert...

There was also a poster campaign for the Strada designed to capitalise on British Leyland's inability to build reliable cars at a time when the Longbridge car plant was the subject of strikes led by Derek "Red Robbo" Robinson:

"Built by Robots, Not By Robbos"
