gutted, why did i bother doing anything to it, wish i would of left it standard now, cause i carnt even get it up my drive either :(

Another lesson learnt eh? ;)

Thing is with a Saxo, its an older design than the punto, so sort of a step back over.

Sorry, I should have said "px MIGHT be out of the question".

Look at it this way - I took an immaculate condition, standard, phase 3 (last of the line) year 2000, V-reg Pug 306 XSI 2.0 in the most desirable colour (Moonstone Blue) to Fiat as a PX for my Punto. All I wanted for it was £3000 (the book price for that age at the time was £5500) and Fiat refused point blank.

In a way, modifying is a mugs game! You spend out a hell of a lot of money to make the car "yours" and youre just not going to get it back when you sell...You might even reduce the overall value of the car.

Like James M says, taking all the bits off is the best way forward (if you can do it!). Simple mods like alloys, suspension and seats are the only things I'd ever do to a car of mine, just so it can be put back to standard to sell it.

i wont be doing another car, no way, my car no owes me £6500 all together, might get half back if lucky :( cars are just depressing when you step back and thing of the money you lose :(

Was it heavily modded then?

like I said above, think of it as money spent enjoying yourself ;)

Most of my mates spend around £120 a weekend on drink, thats over 6k a year, and doesn't include what they spend extra at this time of year, will the recoup any of that? ;)

If I were you Nicko...

I'd keep the punto a while longer, enjoy the mods you have recently spent £££ on for a bit, then trade up when you feel you have had your moneys worth.

Hopefully by then you'll have more £££ & NCB too ;)

My Pug? Totally standard! I couldn't believe my ears when they said they didn't want it, and wouldn't give me a single penny for it! I should have walked away at that point, but had already fallen for the Punto...

£120 a week on booze? Sheesh! Hmm, I suppose that's only 2 good nights out.

One good night and a quiet night at the local actually ;)

I spend 'considerably' less mind, and still seem to enjoy myself :D

They handle very nicely, nippy, easy to drive, but a little cramped, esp if you have big feet.
