Locks and barrels problem

I wonder if anyone could shed any light on my problem. I've got a '04 Idea 1.4 and someone took a screwdriver to the lock on the driver's door last week. Thankfully, they didn't get it. However, my barrel is of course totally shagged. I've phoned a few places and they say I can't buy a barrel and my only option is to have all the locks replaced, get a new code card and have it set up at a cost just shy of £400. Is this really the only way around this or can I replace the lock somehow? Any advice would be greatly received cause I don't want to fork out £400 to replace a lock. Thanks.
