Hello all,
I have an aluminum cylinder head that I found in my barn that goes to some type of old Fiat -- I'm an old Porsche guy, but know very little about Fiat's.

It's a four-cylinder head with a 4-bladed fan on the end. Two valves per cylinder, and it's complete with the valvetrain. Cast into one end is the following (in roughly this appearance):

FIAT

103G005
4135608
S62

I didn't want to toss it on the scrap pile. If anyone knows what it goes to or wants it, let me know. Thanks!

What a kind offer sir, I can't distinguish the markings but someone will read this soon no doubt and offer some advice.

In the meantime, do tell all about your Porkers!

By "Porker," do you mean my 2,290-lb 1977 Carrera 3.0, with the highly modified engine, short gears, and race suspension? ;)

Thanks Dave, I'm glad I found this place. :)

I'm a moderator of the Pelican Parts Porsche forums (forums.pelicanparts.com), so I figured there'd be a good one for Fiats.

I'll get a pic of the head tomorrow -- it's out in my garage, and it's cold, dark, and pouring rain out right now. :bang:

Exactly, quality machine you have there, none of this new fangled rubbish eithers!

Is it Canada you reside in?

I have vague memories of what Fiat this head goes to...in high school, a friend of mine inherited an old white convertible Fiat that was his step-father's. Definately early 1970's vintage at the latest -- probably 1960's. He tore the engine down and I think left the head in my barn. That was years ago, and I have no idea what car it went to. I would have mentioned all this in my original post, but since it doesn't affect my knowledge of what car it fits, I decided not to bore everyone with the details. ;)

My memory of this car is very, very foggy, and it was wedged deep into a small, narrow garage, but it had a rounded trunk (bonnet) and small, vertical tail lights. I did a Google image search on the 850, and that's not it. I sort of remember it looking like this car, which is a 124 sport spider, but the tail lights are wrong. I'm totally stumped.
