If they get Opel they will be careful to cherry pick. Probably the German government and the unions will prevent takeover, and so guarantee that Opel disappears completely, along with Vauxhall, Saab and even Volvo.

Go away. Fiat cars are better built than Opels so it would only benefit them but you obviously have no access to news channels as you would know Fiat pulled out months back from doing it.

Fiat only went into partnership to steal their money and gearbox technology :slayer:. Opel & GM Suck balls.

GM seems to having a change of heart over this and is looking to back out of the Magna deal. The US Govt isn't pleased with Magna's Russian partner.

Maybe if they did away with the Vauxhall brand the cars would be a few quid less because the costs with designing, toling and producing the separate bits for the two brands would be eliminated.

I think Fiat has enough on its hands with Chrysler.
