Got a 2001 1.9jtd and it has got an electrical drain on it. If left standing for a couple of days the battery goes flat. Its not the battery as its new and the charging system is fine. Anybody had the same prolem?

use a multimeter to measure the drain by connecting it between the earth lead and the battery (obviously disconnect earth lead from battery first). now remove one fuse from the fusebox at a time until you see the drain on the meter drop significantly. that fuse tells you which circuit is causing the drain. then you have to investigate that circuit, such as disconnecting devices on it to see if that stops the drain- identifying a faulty device.
