Panda's take NGK BCPR6E spark plugs.

Now been on the NGK website and these are the recomended ones but also has BCPR6ES as an alternative

http://www.ngkpartfinder.co.uk/car_commercial_extra.php?id=4330

I've managed to find the alternative one's alot cheaper than the recommended ones, but I can't get around my head what the difference would be, meaning that they can be used, but must differ in some way to the recommended ones.

I'm really confused. Can anyone help

I always found running some bosch super 4s was a good idea in carby Fiats (depends what panda they are for!). Not as cheap but they do cope with the irregularities related to old carbs and cold, wet mornings alot better.

i would never use bosch. i've seen them cause misfires from new that were cured with a plug change, and i've even seen super4's with burnt electrodes.

the correct NGK plugs are a safe choice, you know they will suit the engine perfectly and last a long time.

i would pay the extra for the recommended plugs.

Well they coped alot better with what I can only assume was a DIY bodge job fueling on the uno..it ran a bit rich all the time and standard plugs were not a fan of it.

Not only for carb cars, the fuel injected Fiat engines run perfect on them as well!
I've been using Bosch Super 4's in my 1,6-16V for about 6 years and 100.000 km's now, and the engine never misses, runs very smooth.
I even use these Bosch Super 4 plugs in my classic Alfa Romeo GTV-6 2,5, instead of the Silver Lodge (the blue ones) that are recommended but are no longer available.
The Alfa V-6 runs great on them as well!!

my old tipo ran fine on them(bosch super 4's), but i was a bit worried when Bulldog5046? (Ryan's) marea had them crumble away and apparently disintegrate! NGK plugs, standard, platinum or iridium are the ones to go for tbh.

Im tempted to try the super 4's. My 1.4 12v is single point injection and by the sound of most replies they will help.

I had new recommended NGK plugs and after 3month one had a crack right round the ceramic coating. That may have been down to the plug getting oiled up, I don’t know.
