Hi,

I'm currently looking for a Bravo to buy, and I've been searching the internet for nice sale prices.

Right now, I found 2 Bravo's for sale near my place:

- Fiat Bravo 1.8 16V GT, 1996, Silver, € 6.950
- Fiat Bravo 2.0 20V HGT, 1996, Black, € 6.950

Yes, they are both 6.950 euro's, so price doesn't matter in this case.
Oh, for you guys: 1 Pound = 1,4 euro, so these Bravo's are 4.960 Pounds each. (hope i'm right about this)

Well, one of the things I always liked to do is body styling, so I'm gonna style one of these Bravo's too, but...

...there seems to be a difference in the bodies of the 1.x and the HGT. If we take a look at some body-part websites, there's always something like "Fits on all Bravo's, except HGT" or "FRONT BUMPER WITH LAMPS = ABARTH LOOK excepted HGT" under the bodypart photo's.

Why is that? What is the difference between the 1.x version and the 2.0 HGT version of the Bravo?

Also, what choise would you make? 1.8 GT or 2.0 HGT? ...if the difference wasn't there, I guess i'll go for the HGT, but maybe I haven't discovered all the pros and cons yet...

Tips? ideas? ..you're welcome.

HGT is wider at the front to fit in the bigger engine - so nothing at the front would fit both a 1.x and an HGT

i think they used the front end from a marea on the hgt - but someone more bravo savvy will confirm :D

The HGT has wider flared front arches, longer front wings, and a wider and deeper front bumper.

If you can afford the petrol (the HGT drinks like a Fish) and the increased insurance, definately go with the HGT!:D

Try reading the buying guide on www.bravo-guide.co.uk it might help when you go to look at the cars!
