hi
was wondering if anyone has attempted modding there own bumpers yet
i have recently bought an old bumper from the breakers and looks like it has potential

all i can do at moment is cut and mesh
im pretty good with fibreglass - as have made a nice bootinstall
but have no idea on how to build the bumper it so i can make it look a bit differet and better than a original bumper with a bit of mesh

does anyone have any ideas would be greatly apreciated
thanks

i'm currently thinking of doing much the same thing to my bumper - its all a matter of personal taste really - but generally more mesh and less bumper looks good ;)

I know what you mean, i did this on my old bumper i cutout all the middle and the two 'Teardrop' shape pieces and meshed it all, i think it looked very good for a DIY job.

Who cares about my post count - it's all about quality not quantity!!
(at least thats what i tell myself anyway)

have already started meshing and looking rather good

has anyone tries any styling thereself with fibre glass and stuff to change the shape and modding ETc
i only want to change a little i want the fog lights to stick out a little like pods

was easy in boot as made of of layers of MDF but i really doubt that this will work very well on a bumper :)
if anyone can help

thanks for your reply (above)

try using the fibre glass repair (availiable in halfords) - instead of making it up in layers you just mix big blobs and shape them as you want (well you get the rough shape then get the sandpaper out)
