Hello everyone.
Just thoutght I'd do a little engine durability survey: My JTD105 Marea weekend has done 127,500, has been oil-serviced every 7k without fail, and shows no real signs of wear. I never have to top the oil up between services, and the unit seems pretty unburstable.

I wondered if as many other members with reletively high mileage engines could tell us what distances they've clocked up WITHOUT having engine work done? I wonder if there ane any 250k plus cars. I'm presuming the diesels will be the most durable...

Please state your mileage and how much oil the engine uses.

I am dwarfed? I'd certainly hope so, a man the size of a Doblo van would not get laid very easily.....

Well i have a 2004 stilo mw jtd 115, Uses no oil between changes so to speak, I change the oil when i think about it. Its showing 103,334 at the moment and gets thrashed very often too. Just a new egr and overboost valves to boot.

Had a TD tipo which had well over 200,000 miles on the clock. If I kept mine at the rate of miles I'll ve there with the Bravo in 10 years.

I've had numerous 100,000+ miles Fiats. Tipo with 140k, Mareas on 100k and 130k. Even the milkbottle is on 100k+ and on the original bottom end - top end was in good condition but got mashed up when the tensioner broke.

1997 Marea 20v with 105,000 miles, doesn't use any oil. Serviced annually or every 10,000 miles whichever comes first.

My punto's miles can't compare to that only 82.5k miles wow some high mileages 300+k O_O

the 300k+ doblo is a diesel

My Marea 2.4JTD 130 has just broken the 100,000 barrier. I change the oil and filter every 6,000 and it doesn't consume any of the amber necter.

I've got over 150,000 miles on a 2000 Punto JTD. She gets serviced every 12,000 and runs like a top.

Someday I'll remember to get my signature updated

in china 1million km was common on taxis. i even saw one that worked out to be over 1 million miles.

My Mk2 sporting had 120,000 miles on it when I sold it

Just notched over to 199000k's (Im not sure how many miles that is) pretty high for barchetta i think, as the ones i see for sale around the same age are often half this amount.

I think the regular oil changes and keeping the oil topped up to the full line contribute toward its excellent condition.

my mate has 277k on a 97 marea 125 TD HLX Saloon runs great, only had normal servicing. An ex company car, so was over 150k when he got it 7 years ago.

its got 48,500 on now... 2.5k in 5 weeks
