Has anyone got a particular site they can recommend to find car parts from breakers? Theres various ones around but which ones worthwhile using? Which have you had success with?

Im also interested in finding this out. need to find an engine.....

these days people are so obsessed with doing everything online, but some things in life still need to happen in the real world. finding an engine is one of those things, especially if you want it quick, cheap and local.

first go on yell.com and get the number for every breaker and dismantler within X miles of your postcode (increase X if your first attempt doesn't succeed). next ring every last one of them, it will take an hour or so, but its much beter than driving to all of them. job done you know who has what you need, next you go visit every place that has the engine you need so that you can get the best one, and then negotiate the best price.

ahh yes but i'm wanting a bonnet in orange which i haven't found in a scrappy yet (except i did find one orange punto but the bonnet wasn't bonnet shaped anymore )

i'm looking for a mk2 punto bonnet in grey. i have been looking for a very long time. when you want something in a specific colour, and that colour isnt silver or black, then you often have a hard time finding it. orange will be a nightmare to find. welcome to my world.

often the price these sites come up with is astronomical, I was after a small round modern fiat bonnet badge and was quoted £30, yeah right!!
