I have an 89 MK1 uno, Fire 1000 engine. I have been doing my own Mechanical work the last year or so as I have had one bad experience after another with mechanics. I know the car is 15 years old and not worth much but it still deserves the same respect as a newer car plus I am paying for it!. I have a question, Is it difficult to change the timing belt. The car has 103,000 on the clock and the timing belt was changed at 50,200. It is probably as well to change it.

That's great, Thanks Dave. I have been looking on ebay at belts. Does anyone know a good brand or are they all pretty much the same.

Thanks.
