4 weeks on...

Have you asked for an explaination?

I will be today, if if doesnt make it next week, i may invoke my terms of contract that allow me to request it within 7 days or have my deposit refunded and sale cancelled

2 things I dont understand from that statement......."invoke my terms" and "request it within 7 days"

What exactly are "my terms" and what is the "it" you are talking about?

Pls explain.

Are you saying for example if you ordered a meal from a restaurant and it had not arrived after an hour, you would sit there and not say anything? This is a similar situation - ordered, not arrived etc
a reasonable wait for a meal to be freshly prepared and served is an hour. for fast food you'd be complaining after 7 mins.

similarly, ordering a car that has to be built abroad and then imported and inspected and registered will take a few weeks/months (realistically with a new fiat it will be months). buying a car from a forecourt will take a day or two.

you cant get fastfood speed from a restaurant, but you can chose which you go to in the first place. the same applies here, if you want your car today buy one from the forecourt stock. if you make a special order then be prepared to wait. its your choice.

the terms set out on my order form state that if my car has not arrived within 21 days of the written date, then i can put in writing that i am requesting the car within 7 days, and then if its not arrived i can cancel with a full deposit refund.

tbh i can wait for it, would just like a bit more information at times
