oh, and for my two penn'orth the only stilo which doesn't look awful from the back is the estate version. What were they thinking? Sheesh.....

i hated all of the stilo's to start with believe it or not. I thought that the 3 door was average but they just forgot to finish the back end and stuck any old thing on it. The 5 door im still not keen on but its growing on me. But after seeing the stilo around a lot more and taking a look at my local fiat garage i thought i'll have one and im happy with it, much better than my mk1 punto. I like the bravo but i still choose a stilo over it now, as for the thread id go for the coupe as well id have one if i could insure it

so far it looks like the coupe is the popular choice - still need more stilo people with their input. c'mon guys stick up for yer car lol

well the stilo abarth is a good car but people always say oh well it dont excelerate that well for a 2.4 but then thats not what is the best bit about it the mid range torque in it is the best. But remember the abarth does like to drink as well I dont really know much about the coupe just that there nice to look at

I guess the tuning potential of the 2.4 is vast?
I'm hearing "turbo conversion"...

Why not look at it from 'numbers of buttons to press?' - I like pressing buttons , although tends to less to press in the rear

I just went for a quick drive in mine down to the local corner shop to get some fresh milk in - wow....having just driven the Ulysse for 800 odd miles as well, the smile across my face was immense as soon as I pulled out of the driveway - gonna to arrange to see Nige this week as well

Why do so many peeps on here relish the opportunity to bash the Stilo?

well seeing as though not really any stilo owners have given me much to go on for buying a stilo - more bad comments than good, it kinda puts you off the idea of getting one - pluss a stilo owner said get the coupe.

this thread it for everyones views so then i can decide what i want

Well personally I would go for a Stilo, I think they look great, despite what everyone else says they are well kitted out, comfy and very nice inside.

I do like the Coupe, but would be put off one as my first car basically because they ain't as practical and may attract some unwanted attention.

the coupe is the most practical sporty type car i can think of - they have rear seats which i need - would only get a 2 seater as a second car. plus it would be my 4th car i will have owned - so not a first car

I meant first as in first for use, only car, not the your 'first' ever car, sorry a little confusing

Surely it depends on available funds!

Personally, I was in the market for a newer car a few weeks back, as you know! I would always go for a newer model than an older model; the 02 plate suited me, just about run in and had two dealer services, the last 3 weeks prior.

Did the Coupe finish in 2000? What about mileage and service history? Insurance? Servicing costs? The last thing you want is it to be a financial drain on you. Granted, the Stilo Abarth does drink petrol - is the Coupe any better? Sooo many questions, lol.
