Doblo 1.3 multijet engine knock

Hi guys

I have purchased a new Doblo van with a 1.3 ltr 16 valve multijet engine.
I'm not sure about an engine knock or more a tapping sound on start up - sounds like a excessive cam follower clearance or the diesel knock you hear from the old black taxi cabs. I have noticed the noise after about 200 miles or more from new and only from cold, after it has warmed up it sounds like a modern diesel should. I have now done 6,000 miles and no change. Can someone please tell me if this is normal.

i work at fiat and were always getting things like this on 1.3, always from cold, once things warm up its fine, unless u rele think its gonna shake its bolts off i wouldnt worry about it

Mine's got a bit of a squeek from cold but I sit there for a while, not revving, to allow the oil to circulate then everything's fine
