Hey all,

I wanna get a Aux cable so I can play the music on my iPhone 3G on my car system a 2006 Fiat Punto 1.9 JTD. I want to be able to control it either way preferably through my iPhone as it will be easier to navigate through all the albums and playlists.

My iphone has a 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack. My system is a Blaupunkt though I don't know the model number.

I did buy a Aux in cable but it's the wrong type :( it's designed for the iPhone but not my car. It's a DLO Aux-in Cable (sorry can't post links yet)
Can I use an adapter for my DLO cable?

What should I get? Adapter or new cable?

Thanks guys.

Good Idea, I'll try and get there before they close after work tomorrow. I was hoping for the convenience of delivery.
I really doubt they will have any stock I'll give them a try tomorrow.

That was a bad idea to go to my dealer :( They quoted me AU$450 to install or AU$320 for the cable WTF!

They priced a generic cable at $220 rip-off's!.

So can someone please show me the correct Aux in cable for my 2006 Fiat Punto 1.9L JTD. I don't know the model of my blaupunkt stereo.

I went to a blaupunkt stockist and tried the only Aux-in cable he had which was the blue one. It fit in perfectly but no sound was coming out:bang:

Online I also found a pink connecter version will this one work or can I modify the blue to work? Please help ASAP!

if you look in the grande punto section, under technical i wanted to do the same! It is possible via the AUX connection but have to control the volume and skip tracks, etc on the iphone! Maybe why you were getting no sound?

here is a guide to make a home made one:

and the thread:

trying using the GP section next time :)

I tried using the iPhone to control the music with the blue cable but it didn't work. I'll give those steps you posted a try tomorrow. Thanks heaps for your help!
