I had a look at a Marea weekend last night and as a result have a few questions to put to the forum.

The car is a 99 T reg Marea weekend TD 100 ELX with 50k on the clock.

It is very clean & straight but there is no service history with it & it has had 2 owners. It also has a Bristol Registration so I guess it was registered by Fiat.

Anyway, It has no red key, should it have one??? It has a code card.

Also the driver's mirror mount will need replacing cos it's knackered. Is this part of the mirror or is it a sepearate assembly?? And what sort of cost are they??

I'm looking at others at the weekend but if I decide to have another look, just want to know what I'm dealing with.

Thanks

It must have a red key, and try and find a 1.9JTD - which it sounds like this is.

Alfa Romeo 156 2.4 JTD SportWagon(215BHP)
Fiat Punto JTD (130BHP)
Fiat Barchetta

Whitout the red key, if you lose an original key you can't do a copy...

TD100 is a good engine, but it isn't a common rail, was the last Fiat diesel engine step before it... remember that Fiat invented common rail injection and JTD was the first engine in the world whit this injection system...

bye R. :)
