Every starter motor i have dealt with has two connections. One to engage the teeth (the solenoid). The other to drive the motor (high current connection).

This was also the way it worked on the Seicento, but the 100hp starter motor has only one connection. A high current one.

How does this work  Does it have internal circuitry that enganges the solenoid, and then turn the motor over?

I would stick with the Sei one, but it's 0.8kW, where's my other one is 1.0kW.

Cheers for any help :)
