Anyone heard or know of a factory called VALLON LOGISTICS in Doncaster

many different spellings of the name and still no result in google. (vallon, valon, vallen, valen, vellon, velon)

that suggests they dont exist or you have the name very wrong.

Could this be them?

Walon Logistics

Thanks guys for your replies, yes Walon Logistics appears to be it.This is where my new car (1.2 GP Active Acc 5 door) is at the moment awaiting transport to the dealer.Have been waiting 16 weeks on monday:bang:.
Latest is that I should have it by the end of next week, but I've been told that three times already. I'm told that getting hold of a 5 door with climate control is difficult.Sold my Citroen 2 weeks ago as I was expecting my GP so DC Cook have loaned me a car untill it finally arrives:)

Walon used to deliver cars from the old Peugeot factory at Ryton near Coventry.

Sounds like the dealers telling Porkies. Transport companies don't want vehicles clogging up their site when they have so many new vehicles coming in every week. They want them in and turned round asap to prevent a back log building up. Your car would have been delivered to them and turned round in a matter of days by Walon.

Most of the checking is actually done on site at Avonmouth Docks, and Walon then transport them to where they need to go. Fiat operate in much the same vein as Toyota, all the cars are stored in Avonmouth, and prepped and updated (i.e. adding alarms, cleaning them up etc) before Walon take them away.

Walon can only despatch vehicles as and when Fiat tell them to, no matter how many vehicles are in stock.

The dealers order the vehicles with Fiat UK, then they come in by ship as and when they are produced, but if your order is for a vehicle which may already be in stock then you should get it sooner than 16weeks.

Yes they are checked as they arrive and before delivery by road, but any warranty defects are normally carried by the dealer.

What's the spec if you haven't had it yet ??

Hi Fiatone.
I eventually received the car on 19th Dec.a wait of 17 weeks.(n)GP Active 1.2 Aircon 5 door. The Pre-Delivery service was carried out by Fiat Advantage in Grantham on 18th Dec.and transported to DC Cook the following day.
DC Cook were pretty good about it all, kept chasing up delivery etc also added a full tank of petrol.car mats and refunded £50 interest lost on deposit held by them. They also supplied me with a free car for 3 weeks when I told them I had a cash buyer for my Citroen Xsara.(y)
The delay I'm told was because the order was for a 5 door Aircon.I checked with another Non Fiat garage who had 10 new Puntos in stock, all 3 door, they said they had difficulty in getting hold of 5 door models.
However the wait is over and I am very pleased with the car.:)

OMG just found this thread on a forum search.

I hope I dont end up waiting 17weeks, the damn car's been at the docks since before xmas and I'm still waiting. Posted a seperate thread before I found this one. Garage are telling me it's Wallon's fault theres a delay and there's no way the garage can contact Wallon to chase up delivery as it's out of their hands.

Yea right, and I'm the Madonna with the big boobies!!!!
