Posts: 1,313 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Legality Issue What legally has to be shown on the dash (to pass MOT and be legal)? Does it have to display the mileage? Is it legal to get it converted into Kilometres? Does the Speedo have to display MPH or can it just display KMH? Don't actually want to do it, just interested that's all. Cinqmeister He's fat, he's ugly, but he's really warm and snuggly.

![]() | To pass the MOT you need to have a working speedo that displays mph, even if it is only secondary (i.e. on the inside of the kph numbers). It also must have a mileage clock, but this may read in either km or miles. So if you import a car for example you must convert it to show mph if it doesn't already, but you can leave the clock in km provided it has got one.
