Post Your FIAT Complaints Here!

Hello everybody i own a Fiat Scientio 1.1 sporting and i has a niggley starting problem!!!
An AA guy and I traced it down to a worn and dirty crankshaft sensor, when it doesnt work to dosent tell the computer to inject fuel into the cylinder and allow spark to the spark plugs thus the starter motor is left turn the engine over.
But giving the Crankshaft sensor a clean and putting back in, makes it go again for a few stopping and starting times and then the problem persists!!!

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem with their fiats???? If so is a replacement crankshaft sensor easy to come by and install it yourself???

message me or leave a response
cheers :)

My name is Lauren Bell and I head up the Customer Relations Team here at Fiat Auto UK.

Having read some of your inserts, I was most concerned to read personal comments relating to one particular Team Member.

May I take this opportunity to assure customers that all members of the Team are highly trained and well recruited individuals. We appreciate customers' needs and should any of you have received insufficient advice or customer service in general, I would ask that you contact me directly in order to discuss this.

However, may I also remind you that the Team regularly visit the Forum, for training purposes, and some of the comments read today, were unfortunately not received constructively.

I am pleased that the Fiat Forum is being used for customers to discuss their comments, however I would ask that at all times discretion is a priority.

Many thanks

Lauren

Great to see Lauren and the Official FIAT Auto UK peeps on here! Lauren replied personally to a mail I sent to FIAT UK and again has shown that FIAT UK are starting to get serious about the issues we all discuss on a daily basis.

Brilliant to see a major business taking stock and looking ready to help, I applaud that seriously, and maybe there is a chance and opportunity here for FIAT to lead in the Customer Service arena?

thats almost sig worthy, pure gold :ROFLMAO:

You wait and see how Lauren doesnt let us down like the odd dodgy dealer who doesnt give a damn!.... foot tapping..... waiting..... hello FIAT UK are you there? :D

Not all of us have a problem with Fiat Customer Relations, I have very recently spoken to a guy called Jamil, I hope I have spelt the name correctly, and he was switched on, courteous, understanding and rang back very promptly as he promised he would.
Further to this were the replies to my initial email to Fiat, replied to in a decent time and better still a great resolution to my problem!, which if I can write out in a readable form will hoprefully be posted on the Forum in the near future.
Fiat know they need to improve and in my case have given as good Customer Service as anyone could have hoped for thanks.:slayer:

To be honest most of the dealer staff don't know much about the cars. My Dad brought a new Stilo Dynamic from Bostons of Milford a couple of years ago and I asked the salesmen where the rain and light sensor was located - he pointed out the temperature sensor under the passenger wing mirror! If they don't even have the most basic knowledge of the product they're selling there's no hope. I also find it difficult to pinpoint prices for things at Bostons - I wanted to know if the new Pandas Eleganza alloys would fit on my old Panda and they just fobbed me off without giving me an actual answer and offered the wheels without tyres for nearly £600!
I'm buying my new Panda from the Fiat Garage in Wolverhampton and so far (touch wood) they've been very good. I just hope waiting 10 weeks for my Panda is going to pay off - I have visions of it arriving with sme of my options missing!!!

best asking techs about this sort of thing really:)

but you cant know everything except the very basics(where door is,where bonnet pull is,where the light switch is etc)...I wouldn't have a clue how to sell a car with all that paperwork etc:confused:

Looks like your missing the point T.
A salesman who doesn't know the answer to every single question anybody can come up with regards mechanical, financial or legal queries is completely useless and not able to do the job required of them. ;)

They're also completely useless if they don't instantly know the exact part-exchange value of every possible combination of make/model/age/mileage/condition of every car/van/truck/pick-up ever released on the market ever; or the fitted price of every accessory available for every model they sell; or have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the full specification and technical details of every used car they sell!

Re: Fiat Doblo needing a new clutch after 9months.

I had the clutch replaced under warranty 9 months ago - it is juddering and smelling and I was told by Stoneacre of Wrexham that ANY guarantee with the new part ENDS when my warranty ended in May 2009.

Any 'local' garage gives 12 months warranty with any part - what can I do????

Try a different dealer, then when you are free of your warranty use someone off here www.goodgaragescheme.co.uk
