I acquired a fiat marea but the previous owner did not
the radio code. Is there some place I can contact given the
year model etc where i can get the code, or how to i go about
changing the code to get the radio to work after th battery went
flat?

Have you tried local fiat Dealer? Dunno if they can help - just a guess

Fiat dealer or car radio specialist. You will need some ID and your V5 to get the code. Depending on who you go to it may cost £20 to £30.

Or take the oppurtunity to fit a new and better unit...

And very occasionally you can hit lucky and it doesn't need it at all as I discovered post-flat-battery (sans code).

He was after that post only it wasn't a post because I meant post as in after as opposed to forum post . I am confusing myself here [8)]. Anyway, what I was trying to say was that my battery died, the radio died and didn't need a code to get it going again - it just rejigged itself.

no problem m8 i understand now, i was thinking there was a special code used by the dealer that i didnt know about to open locked radios pitty there isnt but thanks anyway it kept me allert

Sometimes the code is on the casing of the stereo, It was on mine!
