I have posted my doblo problems previously. Today she would not start up for over ten turns of the key. It's almost as if it is sufferring from moisture or sorts as I left it out all night in the rain, but on my diesel I presume thats impossible. Once it got going it slugged up the drive and on acceleration into the road it suddenly took off like a ferrari!!! then returned to normal mode. I wished it accelerated like that all the time. Any ideas what the problem could be???

im not a dsl man but i think its loss of fuel delivery pressure, pin holes in the pipes/loose connections/fuel filter

Diesel engines requires a good healthy battery for the "glowing" (don't know the english word) before you turn the starter - usually about 5 seconds. The alternator also charges very much during startup especially if the voltage is low.

Try to give your battery a recharge overnights. Just a thought...

Starting problem solved. New glowplugs fitted. Cant explain the ferrari drive features however???

Me dear old Dad had this with another make of car, think it turned out to be airlocks in the fuel system oddly enough.
