That's just what it says: Made in Fiat. The "What" is a large billboard about 10 miles from where I work that I pass en route. It shows a Bravo and says that starting price is 15 000 euros, or about 10 000 pounds. Of course that's for the base model with no options. Wonder what it will start for in the UK when the time comes.

The French car mags are saying the Bravo is very seductive but has some weak points. Interior space, especially in the rear, is nothing to brag about. Chassis and steering are substandard. At 1500 KG, it's rather heavy. And of course the interior plastics could be better. Engines on offer at the moment are the 1.4/95Hp petrol and the 1.9/90/115/150 diesel. A break/wagon/estate version will arrive in 2008.

The 500 will arrive soon and there will be an Abarth version. The factory is set up to produce 120 000 per year but can go a lot higher if needed. I bet it will be needed as the little bugger is cute.

Sadly, it IS a Stilo underneath. Same platform. Poor steering and suspension are the worst points on my Idea. Looks like they haven't progressed on this at all. I just put a set of Continental Premium Contact tyres on and they are an improvement, but they are limited by the suspension. Also, I had to turn off the "City" button because these tyres reduced steering effort to where it wasn't needed any longer.
