UKTV People NOW something called "Car Nation"

some chavvy essex prat keeps coming on that thinks he's got a 132bhp sporting (with stickers and a sunstrip for an extra 10bhp lol)

"first you get your car, den u get your wheels innit, then your sounds man"

Makes me laugh, but it's annoying they let idiots like this demonstrate the type of people that "modify there cars" and the type of people that drive Fiat's.

Rant over! lol

Re: Chavvy c*nt on telly with a punto.

oh dear!!!! i really dont like chav's especially the ones who think that a sunstrip adds Bhp and makes the whole car vinaled! and then you get the idiots that think an exhaust for £30 makes it go 250mph

Tarnishes the name of Fiat and their drivers :shakehead

Hehe... I know what you mean! The people that put a 'perfomance exhaust' on thinking it makes the car better all round... then wonder why their fuel mix and engine idle is out, and why their mpg drops... the ones who glue on a spoiler saying 'it makes it like totally stick to the road, innit', then wonder why a standard can still beat them and can't figure out why the steering is so light at 100+mph... The ones that replace 13" steelies with 16" alloys 'coz it looks cool' and then wonder what the grinding sound is on full lock... the ones who get a hacksaw on their springs and can't figure why they get though so many dampers...

I see these people too often...

yeah there all a bunch of idiots, and the other thing about them cutting there springs down is half the time they bottom out going round a corner and they mostly roll there cars or completly stack them, like a freind of mine did in a bravo he bottomed out going round a corner at 60mhp and went straight through a tree and a concerete fence into a ditch
they all need to get a life and buy things that actually help rather than rubbish little things or self modification parts that there dads made or something stupid:bang:

Re: Chavvy c*nt on telly with a punto.

its because their now so cheap, you can have a minty 1.2 8v mk1 for under £500 T&T'd. A minty sporting/85 for under £850, or a GT that runs well enough for £1500.

mk2's are now under a £1k for a 1.28v, and mk2 sportings have been had for under £1500, so yeah, unfortunatly, barganous motoring for us, BUT also plays into the hands of halfrauds gift card wielding chavv'ers

same problem with bravo's, but thankfully they dont seem to appeal to the prepubescent, so instead they're used as cheap family runabouts and not looked after, but thats a good thing, it makes my car look mint in comparison :)

Re: Chavvy c*nt on telly with a punto.

Is this the lad who was banned from driving and who only got it out of the garage to was it and rev the nuts off it when the engine was cold? If so, seen that a couple of months back. Read on another forum that he lives on the same road as a member on there and regularly got his arse whipped by a Rover 214!:p

Re: Chavvy c*nt on telly with a punto.

it,s all for TV . they put stuff on telly to get a reaction & gues what , .....................they generaly do.

yes that,s life if it was all that simple life would be boring.........;)

Re: Chavvy c*nt on telly with a punto.

I really do wonder how many filming cars they have, they blast past one, then what wait for it to catch up while sitting in a lay buy? lol.

Even worse would be there race the train/plane ones, imagine how they film that when they cant have them waiting about,.

Re: Chavvy c*nt on telly with a punto.

I sadly have to work with nuts who think a silly large exhaust and the like can make them go faster and look good, all they do is draw attention to themselves and become late for shifts.

Would these be the people who don't maintain their cars and blame the cars rather than themselves when it breaks down? Possible why Fiat gets a bad rep in this country, they don't deserve it (n) .

I must wonder though, I have an aftermarket filter fitted to my car when I bought it, I'll ask next time about it if it's damaging my car as it's too dark outside to take a picture and one doesn't have a powerful enough flash to make any difference.

Thats spot on pal. I get people saying to me omg why did you buy a Fiat because they are so unreliable. And these are the same people that change their oil and filter every 30000 miles and go to tescos for thier engine oil.

But I'm sure there are many owners out there that do look after their Fiats and yet it fails them from a reliability angle..
