Hallo there! Hopefully my Starlet GT is gonna get sold today so will be looking for a cheap small car to run, need something reliable that hardly uses petrol and low insurance group and preferably costs under 1.5k.

Any recomendations? only need the car for a few months as I'm saving for a Type R so any help appreciated :D
 
If it's only for a few months, anything solid should do the job - just buy on condition rather than badge.
 
Cheap to run and insure, small, reliable, miserly on petrol and under £1.5K?

Easy!

In very good condition with low miles - Seicento
Older with low miles (plus will be cheaper) - Cinquecento
Even older - Uno or classic Panda
Slightly bigger - mk1/ 2 Punto

That's the Fiats, you'll have even more choice if you go Ford/ Vauxhall/ Citroen/ Peugeot etc.

But if you're only looking to keep it short term then as Chaos says, condition is more important rather than badge. Plus small Fiats are addictive, so in a few months you might not want to get rid of it!

I'm thinking of buying back my old seicento off my brother, will have to see what he says!.

I deffinately won't be staying with small fiats though :p the civic is calling me! lol
 
I know a girl called Jes who is cheap and more than happy to go around a bit.....

£1.5k - Saxo, Fiesta, Corsa, Punto....the world is your oyster.....or go older Croma Turbo, Uno Turbo, Strada Abarth......
