Anyone here into mountain biking?

i was alt in my younger days, before i got unfit etc.

never had a good bike though, used to buy cheap ones and kept breaking them, best i had was the rear swing arm snap clean of on a 15ft drop in, that hurt :(

going to be pincing my brother scott yecora i think it is soon and get back into it again as i love getting out on the nike, plus i may be going to the french alps near the swiss border, so would be rude not to really :D :slayer:

try to, but i hate my current bike (pro flex 857, its technically a great bike with carbon fibre swing arm etc) it's all weight wrong and keeps throwing me over the bars. :(

Is that Morzine you're going to? Planning to go back this July, AMAZING place it would be a sin not to take the bike!:)
Downhill runs are awesome there, last ages.

Go ride especially now the weather's (supposed to be) getting better!

not too sure where we will be going to be honest, my parents will be going out for 2 weeks so i was thinking of joining them for the second week as all id have to pay is fuel to get there, so take the other half down with me, and maybe my brother and his gf and just go exploring, not to sure if the other half would be so keen on my idea of a nice ride in the mountains mind :p

Hi lads,
i'm totally into mountain biking and biking in general, my uno was purchased to enable me get to places i could use my bike further away! i have a kona scab, albeit rather hacked and scratched, but still in good mechanical order.

Here in north Wales around Bangor there is lots of good biking to be had, even if it is just some road biking for exercise, i try to get in about 10 to 20 miles a day just for fun, with the weather improving, and the stretch in the evenings it is a perfect time to get out and about.

If anyone is around Bangor/north Wales A55 corridor area into going out on the bikes let me know:)

Cheers

Cian

Ive just got a salcano hector (2007), not been out on it yet though. Used to do alot of mountain biking when i was younger, then wandered off into BMX territory. had to sell my GT last year, so jumped at the chance to get the Salcano and try something different. :)

Had to take both wheels off to get in the car though! :(

Wales eh? Would love to go there- plenty of great biking out that way!

Check out the new site I run http://www.freewebs.com/jab_uk. It's mainly based on the southeast UK news but there's plenty of other non region based topics and anyone is free to sign up/get involved in the general conversations!

On that note I will confess the south east is nowhere near as good as Wales. We have got a few good parks (I do alot of work with Bedgebury) but we do not have the same open space:cry:

another biker here.

roof bars and bike sled live on teh car permantly now,so I can take teh bike, the kayak (into whitewater, watercourses, getting into freestyle/rodeo antics, and kayak surfing, love it), and the kites (got myself into kiteboarding, I'm still on land at the mo, but will move onto the water in another month).
so I now have a foot in each dicipline, so no matter what the weathers up to I have something to do:cool:

haven't spent much on the bike this year, (thank god, usually spend more on it than I do on the car in any one year (n) ), but then I haven't been out much.

in wales, you have loads of man made trails to choose from as your probably aware.

Fiatforum 2007 bike meet anyone??? thinking like channock chase, the dog, or something like that, thats fairly central to everyone in the country (y)
