Its only the C180 however the saving grace is that is kitted to the max, is a manual 6 speed box and a kompressor model.

Anyway the twonk didnt check to see if all the lights worked on it

All the fronts worked fine, however only one rear fog light lit up ( all other back lights fine) on the drivers side.

Does anyone know if they only have one rear fog light on this particular model, or is it looking like a new bulb job?

The manual although present, didnt say.

cant be specific, but for quite a few years one rear fog, one revsring light is the norm, think its something to do with so they cant be mistaken for brake lights stuck on???? (there isa valid reason, but it escapes me at the mo)

It's not for them not to be mistaken it's just that they can make them cheaper.

Instead of asking here John just pop out the boards from the clusters and check.

A lot of motors only have one rear foggy.

I wouldn't be suprised if it were normal.

its normal to have only 1 rear fog light, and only 1 rear reverse light. the fog light goes on driver's side, and reverse light on pass side. very few cars have rear fogs and reverse lights on both sides. check the reverse light, if its only on pass side then it seems to be working fine.

On the C Class Merc, if a light has gone the onboard computer thing will inform you, and tell you which bulb has gone, so if he is having no warning message about lights then chances are, all is good.

My Stilo has fogs and reversing on both sides.

So does Tipo

so does my bravo after spending £45 on a rear light from a LHD car

all cars should imo.

Theres two reverse lights so that i would think there are 2 fogs.

Easy swap for a new bulb so no problems really, it doesnt look like it will be foggy though in a hurry.

Only got the car 2 hrs before i had posted so not had time to see what every switch and knob did etc whoever said about going through the buttons on the dash, however will bear that in mind for future

newer c class's are really good compared to what merc banged out in the late nineties.

we had a 2000 W plate E320cdi tourer, and it was appauling. nice engine and drive, but everything about it was poor. and considering some poor sod spent nearly £40k on it when it was new, shocking.

New shape C class's are very good, as are the current E class's.

just not keen on merc styling.

c180 komp, doesn't that mean its a turbo or a supercharged model???
or is it just a spec nowadays?

God knows but the small niggles problems keep churning out of it!

Now the sodding boot doesnt open off the key, yet it locks/deadlocks/unlocks fine, prob new battery time on that now!

Although had my first spin in it though and very impressed with the drive
