in glasgow at the moment, never really thought of it before but there's a huge difference in the cars here and cars in ireland. for a start in ireland you will never see Protons, Peroduas, old hyundais or Kias and you'll go a long time before you see a black cab. sure you'll see some of the classic london ones, but you'll never see those metrocabs that seem to be built from various transits, cortinas, and escorts. you know, the really square ones!
most pre 2000 cars in ireland will be base spec with the smallest engine size, due to the ridiculous tax system, so it's strange to see old caveliers and mondeos with leather and more! also ireland don't go for 5 door hatchbacks the same way our neighbours do, favouring saloons. it's bizzare that there are such differences!
