iv bought some cinq seat belts, but the dont seem to come out of the winders, are they meant to when off the car? do do they need to be bolted in cant see if there bolted in its going to be any different? lol i need to clean them!!

Thats because the belt works on a system thats simila to a bubble ..a little ball rolling around inside the system that locks up the belt when you yank it to hard ..and no I wasnt being rude

im pulling it slowly... wont budge, it locks...

they have to be at the correct angle as well without moving so need to be rigid

the back ones are to tight for a punto though aint it?

yay iv mended it, i undid a cover and a coil of metal strip all came out, and i had to wind it up and put it back, took an hour! lol

That may be the recoil spring...Just winding it back or removing it wont do...it'll need replacing so its safe as its very likely to be safety critical...

why? lol its the same as the other one, all it does is wind it in when you take your seat belt off, if it was the locking mechanism then yer but its not.

why? lol as i said its the thing which pulls the belt in when you take it off which i un did, and it now works better than the other one, was all clogged up with crap, i didnt touch the lock thing which is what would save you in a crash...

i always feel sorry for cinq owners driving around with their red seatbelts, but if you fit them yourself you deserve it.

Oh, that's cool then Bit of a shame I don't think I can fit them, just looked and theres some sort of gizmo attached to it, maybe a pretensioner or something I'm not prepared to go fiddling with something so vital to safety so I'll leave it for now lol
