ok, I've been driving my manual transmission bravo for over 4 months now, and i got the idea on how to control the car especially on high inclines etc.

but when it comes to quick changes from gears 1-2-3 (for speeding purposes) it doesnt work properly. This is what happens, say i accelerate from 1st gear and leave the rpm to 5000 rpm and ready to change to 2nd gear, the car jumps because i take my foot off the clutch pedal quickly and quickly onto the gas pedals like rally racers do, same thing happens with 3rd gear but on a lower jumping level :p

can anyone tell me the secrets of changing quikcly between the clutch and the gear without the car jumping???

thanks, appreciate the help :)

P.S. some of my friends told me cause its not a sports clutch!

you don't have rally car. so don't drive it like one. don't just let go of the clutch, bring it up slowly enough to stop it jerking, also dial in the correct rpm for the next gear (or near enough) before bringing the clutch up.

The way I change gear up hills is to go for it taking it to the red-line, and change up, getting on the throttle a little earlier than usual then feel the clutch smoothly but quickly. You'll get a fair amount of slip but the change will be relatively smooth. The problem is this puts a fair old strain on the clutch.
