hi, well this morning i was in a rush after waiting to drop my sister off at school but she didn't get up, made me late for college, went through 2 close together lights, the first on amber, same with the next one but it just hit red as i crossed the line  do they have cameras on them or anything to give me a ticket? (n) 1 was a crossing type one with a little box thing on top of it like a lot of traffic lights and the other had nothing on it.
just started driving and dont wanna get points or banned (n)

thanks

I think the ones that get you going through lights look like normal speed cameras....but thinner and without the road markings...I could be wrong though.

If the box was a little grey one on the very top of the lights, they are traffic sensors, so they change with approaching lights ect. :D

All traffic cameras have to be clearly visible, I think they all have to sprayed yellow too now.

If it was a red light camera junction then you would have the normal lights plus a slim camera at the side of them facing in the direction of travel. You would have seen it flash.

The black box at the top is a traffic sensor. This is used to tell the lights when to change so that people are not braking hard so people have plenty of time to stop. Another variation of this is sensors in the road which can be seen as thin black lines of tar evenly spaced out.

I would say that you would be ok as I think you would have noticed two flashes.

Just be more careful in future. :)

right, havent seen any warning signs or thin cameras, ill check out for markers in the road but i dont think there are any, wont be doing it again lol, i usually stop straight away when the amber light comes on but i didnt want to be late for college, rather that then get a fine and/or points though, thanks again for the replies people, you've put my mind at rest :D(y) :worship:

Dunno then, I know that there is deff no warnings near these ones...although they are painted yellow.

But unless you look up and see it you wouldn't know it was there, as they don't need the speed/white lines on the floor.
