got an email from home the other day.
my mums saab (lowered a bit, by factory, only about 30mm different to the non HOT models), can't go over the sqaure humps, as the front splitter (factory fitted) has a cut out below the intercooler, thats mean't to fit over them, but its about 2" too narrow.
so she has to half and half it, or run one side of the car over farily gently so as not to rip/damage the skirts (factory fitted).
went over a new set of humps the other day, where the road narrows to one hump with bits of pavement stuck out, so she couldn't half and half, or do th other trick.
went over at abou 3/4 offset, and when the front wheels came down the hump the car has got stuck on its rear floorpan (where your feet go).
car got beached and had to get a council wheelclamping job to lift it off without damage.
caused half of whitehaven (mirehouse for though's that know it) to be re routed.
and caused fairly serious damage to th car (floorpan has been bent back, and has been anti stone chip sprayed since).
council aren't interested in the £350 bill since th car is modified!!!!
Now I'd dearly like to know on the exterior of the car where these mod's are !!!!! (the engine is mod'd, but if you look at it you wouldn't know, there isn't even a sticker!), the wheels have been changed, but they are exactly teh same dimensions as the OE wheels.
