Yesterday i had my assessment day with MyTravel - it was pretty hard as it consisted of several role plays and exams (maths, english etc).

After about 5 hours of assessments and exams we had lunch, then we were all put in one room. The woman said she is going to call one person out of the room at a time, and tell us if we were successful, if we were successful we will then be asked to wait in the lobby, if not, we are free to go home at this time. So one by one people were leaving the room and eventually there was only a few of us left, the woman came in and said congratulations you have successful (to the remainder of us).

We then had one to one interviews in the afternoon and then we were told we would be contacted within the next 24 hours, this morning my phone rang and the woman explained that the criteria is very strict and they only want the best of the best, then i was thinking aw :( then she said im pleased to tell you that you were one of the best and we would like to offer you the job :D

When asked where i would like to work i put down Tenerife as my first option and she said no problem at all :)

So in Feb, i am going to live and work in Tenerife. Yayyyyyyy! :D

To keep this topic fiat related, they uhm have some Fiat Bravas as police cars in Tenerife :p

After my 6 month summer season living in Tenerife i will come home and go to Buckinghamshire Uni, if i love it so much then i might just move on, as you can travel to and work in a different country every 6 months :D

so this is like a gap year before??

what do you get to do? do they organise accomodation for you or do you have to find your own??

And you do realise that when you return to the uk, everything will be grey and windy and wet in comparison:p

Hahaha i didnt mention the job role.

I am classed as "an overseas administrator" and i am the guy who floats around the resort offices sorting out coach transfers, dealing with flight delays, doing police and clinical visits and reports...

boring job but the way i look at it is, i can either do a boring job in the UK or a boring job in a nice country.

Accommodation and food is paid for by the company (living in a half board hotel, nice)

Flights to and from UK paid for aswell.
