everyone knows the kids who work there dont know half as much as the middle aged guys working at your local motor factors. but thats no surprise.

That just stupid generalization!

No way would i (as a parts person at halfords) argue with anyone about anything when im at work!

And for one thing, how the **** does anyone here know there local middle aged motor factors guy is the world best grease monkey??

So what if they are, they aint gona lick your arse to get you in again the next day, because they wont have to as YOU NEED THEM to keep moving if **** hits the fan!

You ever asked them to do your clutch outside there shop?
No?
Whys that?.........................Because they just sells ****ing parts!! (Unless they have a garage outback and if they do, consider yourself ugly)

Halfords is portraying themselves as a "ONE STOP SHOP" but i reality, they arent.

So dont get all pissy if they dont stock what your after, im not defending the company, only myself as:

1) Im not a ****ing kid
2) Im 21 (An adult right?........or am i wrong?.........Nope!)
3) Ive done more on cars at home (Numerious engines out and built a Uno turbo for a mate by myself) and college (Ford Sierra 2.9i V6 and drivetrain in a MK6 Escort  ) than everyone in mystore put togeather
4) You dont know me

And my little Uno will prove all that!

I dont like being talked to like im some kind of uneducated moron because my shirt says HALFORDS

Errrm strictly speaking adolescence contines until 22 and they may even think up to 25. So yeah still young and naive like the rest of us.
(and btw ur number 1 and 2 points are the same point.)
3.You start by saying that you would never argue with ppl at work, does that include belittling them, making them look foolish or selling them stuff they don't need as they might be uneducated about cars?
4.After saying you don't argue with ppl and that ur not a kid, why do you use so much bad language??

Sorry but if your gonna fly of the handle and have a go then you gotta expect some constructive criticism. and this display of calm discussion and maturity:rolleyes:   (yeah right)   just goes to show that you are right and halfords employees are the best:slayer: [insert sarcastic cough]

I never use language like that in front of customer, only when im being generalized by people who dont know me!

I ask them WHAT they are after or WHAT they have been told/asked to get by their local mechanic or dad or brother or husband or who ever

Most of the people i serve just buy NEW stuff because thats what they ask for!
I dont say "O you must buy this, this and this....."

At no point since me starting work there have i forced a product on to customer to make a sale, the choice is there for them to take it or not!

But then you get the customer that has "tinkerd" around in his/her youth with cars and wont accept it if they need a new battery or bulb or wiper blade................the problem is there, they just wont accept it.

Considering what ive done at home and college (and i have many pics to prove).......im not a typical halfords employee.

Dont like it?
Dont shop there!

Try n Boycott halfords and itll never work, it like trying to boycott tescos or sainsburys............they have a hold over everyone!!!!!

21st century buisness!
Get used to it!
