Is a shop allowed to refuse a refund if you bought something
and then decided afterwards[2 days] you didnt want it.
still got recept and unopened the goods,why i ask is on the
reverse of the recept it says management refuse right to refund
and may offer credit note instead.i dont really want a credit
note.have i got a right to get cash back.the shop is Floors2 Go
and i bought 2 pks of them cups to put funiture in to potect
your laminate floor from scratches.

They're not very expensive really are they? you may find they'll refund your money, give it a try.

to be honest, no he doesnt have to give you a refund if the goods are fine and undamaged. its not the shops fault if u decide u dont want something after you have bought it. why should they refund you for something they sold to u and u want to give it back just cos u didnt want it now?

would u buy a car then take it back after a few days saying, actually, nah i dont want it? lol

I'd take em back and say they were just wrong and can't use them. Lie, its the only way forward.

I have done it a couple of times with CDs by saying my mrs bought me the same one.

the law is simple, unless the item you bought is not as described or not fit for purpose you cant demand a refund. its up to the seller. if you ask nicely they will probably give you an exchange.

Depends how much they value your custom and not getting into an argument infront of other potential customers.

B&Q will almost always take back goods - even without a receipt.

Off now to go and see if i can get a result...

Good luck. Different shops have different policies, some are very friendly to keep customers happy others are so cash-hungry they'll tell you where to shove your refund.

For example I bought a wireless adaptor from Currys a few weeks ago as it was cheap, got home and realised I already had one. Went back a couple of hours, adaptor still boxed and they gave me a refund without fuss.

Also GAME used to have a no-fuss 10 day return policy until people used it as a free rental service!
