Well i've got a few beastly scratches down the side of my Bravo.

Colour is metallic black and they won't t cut out, wouldn't be too bad in any other colour but the scratches are white, whats a good quick fix remedy?

Also gonna ask you guys opinions on something later

Hiya, excuse the pics, sun was shining on it and the residue is off the t cut

ouch, they're worse than the ones on my boot. :(

rather than using original t-cut, black t-cut will make them far less noticable because they'll go black. but you need to do it once a week or so to keep them black. thats what i do. i do it once every 2 weeks lately but in winter it needs doing more often.

if you want a more permanent solution you can get a very very very fine artists brush and try painting the scratches with a hairline amount of paint. if done will it can work wonders, but more often it turns out worse so be very careful if you try it. less paint is better than more.

Yeah there quite deep. It would be hard to match the colour right as your car has sun fade it also looks like a metalic colour too. .

Hiya, its not faded its just the way sun is blazing on it and the residue off the t cut too, honest...my cars paintwork apart from that is showroom (ish) it was the plank who had it before me that put those scratches on

lol ok fair do. if your adventerous and have the time / space why not do it properly. All you need is Rhino wet&dry sanding paper get 250grit a 800grit and 1500grit, metal primer, aerosol made up to your colour. Some halfords mix up paint to the correct paint code mine is 176/a Rosso Passionale / Exotica Red. You can get it on a silver sticker that should be under your bonnet.

1. Sand out scratches with rough and then fine paper upto 1500 grit until smooth. Rhino Wet&Dry paper rules.

2. Mask off area

3. Prime the area with a metal paint primer remembering not to go upto the masking tape or paint will build up 2mm thinker than your normal paint ;).

4. Use fine layers of primer and once each layer is dry use the rhino paper to smooth the area thats painted.

5. Do the same with the black aerosol keeping it fine layers and remembering to sand the area in between each coat.

6. Once dry (allow 3 hours) use a laquer, again keep it really fine this time don't use sand paper in between coats.

That should get you a nice finish. I had to do this on my Brand new GP front bumper due to similar scratches as yours but mine were a little deeper due to it being plastic. I just couldn't bare to part with £250+ to get it done in a spray shop.

£250?? really?

blimey they know how to make their money.lol.

I rang that place you gave me the link for and they've given me the number of the bloke nearest to us so i think i'll give him a call later(y)
