Ok so today.. trying to get home from work.... stuck at 40 on the M1!!!!!! ..... why? cos there is a lorry in each lane going up hill!!!

i thought lorries werent meant to go in the fast lane?

Am i wrong? or do "the rules" not apply if your bigger than everyone else?

Lorries are only allowed in the middle lane to overtake and uphill they are 'supposed' to keep to the 1st lane only - they are normally posted as crawler lanes on hills but its the same if you've got a Range rover in the overtaking lane doing over 100 with a trailer  that is ok to some people also.

I believe vehicles with a trailer are permitted in the near-side and near off-side lane only, this means that on a two lane dual carriage way they're entitles to be in the off-side lane, however on a 3 lane dual carriage way you should always have the off-side lane clear of 'slow' moving traffic

they were the proper huge ones.

Does my head in... when u done u wanna get home... not plod along at 40

drive me nuts.... always something.... slow ppl on motorway... slow ppl everywhere

we got a raod near me... country - ish road.. but its a 60.. everyone plods down at 30.... and its not really somewhere u can over take :bang:

Blame all this "speed kills" ****** propaganda, people are starting to belive it, and think if they drive 20 below the limit they will live to be 200.

i was late for work today... stuck behind some guy doing 40 90% of the way :bang: every straight there were cars coming the other direction

That happens to me most days, either some old guy or a lorry plodding along while I can't get past  I love slower folks who move over to let faster traffic through, there's a few truck drivers do it and they're very nice people :D As for rolling roadblocks on motorways, that's just stupid. There's a section of dual carriageway here with two lanes for about eight miles and three lane motorway either side of it. So which bit do the lorries choose to overtake each other on? The dual carriageway of course

You may :bang: but he wasn't breaking the law or anything was he? :p
This is one of the contributing factors to me selling the Coupe (besides the runnign costs). In the last year of ownership I used full throttle about 5 times. Other traffic is often the limiting factor. Panda makes you care less about going slow... :p
