I have been looks for a decent diesel with remap potential that's not going to break the bank.

these 147s seem to have depreciated alot making them affordable to people like me. I think there a very sexy car too and the interior is very very nice.

I have a punto at the moment so i know Italian cars can be abit hit and miss.

Is the 147 JTD and good performance and reliability wise.

My dad had a JTD van and it clocked up 170,000 miles so they seem to be pretty strong.

any expensive things that generally go wrong with them?

Thanks

Ummmmmmm I like both. Have considered upgrading to an Alfa and then I thought what the hell, see what Hellcat does and bring the Alfa engine to the Bravo/a, few tasty extras and you have the same car but ummmmmmm better looking (and at about half the cost) :D

the bravos inner wings are the same size as the mareas Hellcat, so the only exterior stuff from the mmarea needed would be wings and bumper and thats only if you really wanted. could more than likely get away without using either tbh, as its only to give better clearance for a slightly wider front track

as for the 147, i say pah to the dirty 2.4 and HHHEEELLLLOOOOOOOOOO to the mean and lean, 3.2 machine :yum:  or 3.7 with a supercharger:yum: :yum: :yum:

what you want is an alfa 156 2.4JTD. not a young boyracerish car but definately a stylish itallion stallion. i sold a 2.0 petrol 156 a couple of years ago, never had it legally on the road but the few times i did take it out i enjoyed the drive a lot. wanted one ever since. its the interior that does it for me.

yeah i like the 156 sport waggon just like bunny's dads 2.4jtd goes like the clappers and i think it just looks the bee's knees, i mainly like that over the saloon in the fact that there is summit intresting about the backend rather than just a boot
