Was invited by Helz as part of Cruise West Cumbria to a local Classic car show in Penrith, couldn't go to Gaydon as the Mrs was giving me grief about being away constantly (can't blame her really) so a local event fitted in nicely.

Was a bit unsure of going with such a young crowd, but it was superb and couldn't of asked for better company. A good laugh which was helpfull in such crap weather....It bucketed down so hard at times that it was even raining inside the gazebo but by late morning the clouds let up and the BBQ came out, well it came in bits and was expertly put together. From then on the day just got better Food was 4 star or was that Optimax rated and kept us going. The little panda in the shadows of much finer machinery on the stand was well received and another offer to buy was refused.

Took a little walk round the show camera in hand and there was some beautifull cars on show all attached below.

I then took the panda on the 4x4 course and got a round of applause from the lakeland 4x4 club when it easilly managed it on 145 road tyres except a dip I avoided to keep my front bumper intact although one of the obstacles knocked of one of the gear linkages so it was stuck in first but a set of mole grips soon fixed it

Anyway I'd like to thank Helz and Cruise West Cumbria for the invite and the warm welcome. It was great day and will make sure to visit other events when I can.

It is Colchester, I believe the last owner commuted from down sarf to Fort William often so must have been bought down there

The owner was in the newcastle top, real nice bloke. He ended up doing the BBQ. Nice to see he has simmilar arson tendencies to me the BBQ was not hot enough so let's get some petrol on it classic BBQ tip He came along when going on the 4x4 course and seemed to enjoy it

Wish I'd come now. Could have brought the Tipo.

It was a good day, IMO the rain just made it more fun and as one lad said, we had to sit there with our cups of tea and stick it out because we're British and that's what we do It was nice to see something different as well, I learned a few new things and saw a lot of makes and models I'd never seen before and of course the owners are only too keen to tell you about it.

It was good to meet Alan and his daughter kerry for the first time and they were made especially welcome because they brough teamaking facilities

Excuse the weird outfit in one of the pics there is a story behind it it but suffice to say at lunchtime I got changed! We'll have to try for a Fiatforum stand next year if we have enough interest

What strange clothes?

The organisers asked us to dress up in period stuff so some of us girlies were going to do it but in the end I was the only one that turned up. I saw one or two other families who had attempted it though
