I want to go on a track day and have a budget of up to £150 and would like to drive a Lamborghini Gallardo or Murcielago anybody know of any websites or phone numbers I can look at to book it? and I live in nottingham so somewhere nearish to there would be good :)

Had a quick look at the links - cant see what track they are at though??

Silverstone dont have the lambo's so if driving the lambo is a must for you, i'd go for one of them on the links you put up.

Otherwise i would probably go to Silverstone, only becuase i know a couple of peeps who have been there and had such a good day.

I reckon wherever you go, it'll be amasing - The choice is yours! (y)

I think i'd probably go for the Gallardo at Bruntinthorpe (says Leics, so either their or Mallory, maybe  ). Plus you get some practise laps in a scooby WRX (y)

Was going to say do some research, some let you give them the full moo some don't, I wouldn't pay all that money just to lightly tap the accelerator.

Just got back from my track day and it was great! I got about 20 mins in the car but it didn't seem that long.

It was the semi-automatic E-gear or something like that, bearing in mind the fastest thing I have ever drove is my Stilo JTD and I've never driven a semi before the car was so easy to drive! the power comes from nowhere no matter what gear your in or what rpm.

I would definatley recommend it to anyone (y)

here is a picture of me with my concentration face on :p

I know someone that drove the same car a few weeks back she said it was amazing lol

I just got back from a Formula First experience at Silverstone! All I can say is wowwww. For a crowd including a Locost racer they wern't very good competition:eek:  Never blue flagged or overtaken heh heh heh.

The cornering forces with them are brill, fantastic feeling when you have it on the limit, turn in was nothing like what I could get with the Sei!:D Is a bit like comparing chalk with cheese though. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

That Lambo looks gorgeous

I've tried a Ginetta G20..

As with the current G4, the G20's standard engine installation is Ford's Zetec. In the G20's case this is the 1800cc unit, bog standard save for the induction and exhaust systems which have to be changed because the Ford parts won't fit. Most specialist companies using the Zetec (including Dare) use an 'off the shelf' induction system from Weber, but Ginetta use a custom made system originally developed for their Class A racers, which is designed to take the Ford throttle body and injectors. In this form the engine might only develop around 125bhp, but then the G20 only weighs 660kg, equating to a useful 190bhp per ton, which is better than a Boxster and translates to 0-60 in 6.5 seconds and 125mph.

Serious fun, and hard as hell cornering..

Here is me on the longest straight on a UK circuit giving it all in 3rd..

no spin policy???

I love single seaters, very rewarding to drive, probably THE best thing to rag round a track, either on your own or with a few others (lots of others and it sucks, you end up queing all around the track:( ). Getting each lap quicker and quicker, perfecting each corner.
single seaters aren't much to watch mind:rolleyes:

fasted thing I've been in would probably be an rs6 avant that was for sale at our local friendly audi dealership, got to drive it around the industrial estate, but no more than 40mph:cool:

Yeah we had a no spin policy too (n)

Two guys got taken off for spinning, I think they were repeat offenders. The instructor wasn't that warming, in the briefing he was making out that if we did anything wrong like spin we would be off home early, and that their so hard to drive and how he is the champion at so and so, and so and so....
